Hatch: Good Allies Key to Thwarting Terror Attacks

(KCPW News) The fact that London law enforcement was able to thwart another terror plot aimed at blowing up U.S. bound flights today is evidence of the deep commitment America and its allies have to fighting the war on terror, according to Utah Senator Orrin Hatch.
"A significant plot has been disrupted, demonstrating once again the success that's possible with good allies, in this case Great Britain, and between our respective agencies," Hatch says. "We should be very grateful, once again, for the very strong cooperation we have with Great Britain."
As a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Senator Hatch says he is being briefed on the developing situation. While he declined to confirm other details, he did say that liquid explosives were the method of choice in this plot.
"I can say this much, the FBI and DHS have confirmed that the terrorists were considering the use of liquid explosives. So we should not forget that the ingenuity of the terrorists is exceeded only by their intent to harm us."
