Procurement Made Easy

GOED Seminar Planned October 19th
(KCPW News) Next month the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) will be hosting a symposium on selling to the government and military, a first for Utah, let alone the nation:"Actually, it's even the first of its kind in the United States. We have put this together through the Utah Procurement Office in order to help Utah businesses get a bigger share of the $3 billion of contracts being let in Utah," says GOED spokesman Michael Sullivan.
Utah entrepreneurs are currently selling $1.9 billion in goods and services to federal, state and military entities. But that's only half the existing market, says Sullivan, noting that most businesses and entrepreneurs just aren't aware of the procurement opportunities in Utah. He says GOED's October 19th procurement symposium will be an easy way to make contacts:
"There will be 40 buyers literally in a reverse tradeshow where the buyers are in the booths waiting for you to show up, network with them, make appointments, introduce your product or service, and then come back and sell them."
In particular, women and minorities are encouraged to attend the symposium. For more details, click here.
