Annual Meeting Will Set Course for Next 12 Months

(KCPW News) The Salt Lake Chamber will hold its annual meeting Thursday, detailing its plans for the coming year. Chamber vice president of policy and communications Natalie Gochnour says attendees will gain insight into the business group's legislative agenda for 2007:

"We have two or three bills that we're looking at for the upcoming legislative session dealing with healthcare costs. We will not preview those, though, until a little closer to the session, but we will be expressing a commitment to it. The same thing with workforce development and some interest in education in our state."

In addition, the Chamber will talk more about the state's looming transporation crisis and what the business community should be doing about it. Ty Detmer, All-American football quarterback and Heisman Trophy recipient, will be the keynote speaker at the Chamber's 104th Annual Meeting Luncheon Thursday at The Grand America Hotel.
