Alexander Takes Post with Governor's Economic Office
(KCPW News) Utah House Majority Leader Jeff Alexander is resigning from his spot representing Provo on Capitol Hill to work for the Governor's Office of Economic Development. In his new part-time position, Alexander will try to recruit more companies to have their headquarters in Utah.Alexander also plans to spend more time running his own print business in Utah County. He served for 16 years in the Utah House of Representatives, include the last four in House leadership positions. He will run un-opposed for re-election this November and resign at the end of the year. Republican Delegates for District 62 will select his replacement at that time.
No start date has been set for Alexander's new position at the Governor's Office of Economic Development. Initially it will be part-time and unpaid.
