Hatch Rejects Claims in Woodward Book
(KCPW News) A tell-all book by Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward has the White House on the defensive. Woodward claims then National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice ignored CIA warnings of a terror strike two months before 9-11. Rice rejects the claims, as does Utah Senator Orrin Hatch."Look I'll bet on Condoleezza Rice, I'll listen to her anytime," says Hatch. "She's straightforwrad, she's honest, she's decent. I know Bob Woodward too, and he's in the business of trying to make books very interesting and he does very well. But if Condoleezza Rice says something, you better believe it."
Hatch says he's more concerned about the timing of Woodward's book, launching criticism at the White House one month before mid-term elections. Rice and White House spokespeople have suggested that accounts in the book State of Denial are exaggerated, if not inaccurate.

Oh, really now?

Rice is a reliable lier - even for the corrupt, incompetent Bush/Cheney regime. She never says anything reliable except the casting of aspersions.

The problem is that the US administration had excessively increased its level of lying since 2002, it is not only Rice, but the whole administration, and not only Iraq, but any subject from Katrina to Foley.
As for "honest" Mrs Rice, just a sample, of course:
"We have never claimed that Saddam Hussein (...) had either direction or control of 9/11." 9/16/03
The president knew that [Iraq] was a threat.
- National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, 9/24/03
We do know that [Saddam] is actively pursuing a nuclear weapon 9/10/02
Iraqis were actively trying to pursue a nuclear weapons program. 7/11/03

Woodward's ludicrous attack on Condi’s professional judgement.
Why ludicrous? Because NO-ONE takes their responsibilities more seriously than, or performs so well as, Condi either when she was National Security Advisor or now as Secretary of State.
And since Bin Laden’s men had PREVIOUSLY attacked inside America and attacked American targets worldwide - he had ALREADY guaranteed himself a place on the US’s most serious threats list.
An unspecific warning was as useful as saying, "We believe bank robbers are planning to rob a bank soon".
And if you had specific intelligence on a bank robbery or a plane hijacking, you don't need to tell the President or his advisors, you tell the police or the FBI, immediately.
