New Poll Data to Address Utah's Growth

(KCPW News) Tomorrow, pollster Dan Jones will release details of a new survey showing how worried Utahns are about the state's expected growth. The poll, conducted on behalf of the Utah League of Cities and Towns, will be unveiled at a growth summit tomorrow.

The summit is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Delta Center and will feature leaders from the State Legislature, the Department of Transportation and the State Office of Education.

Utah's population hit 2.2 million in 2000 and will more than double by 2040. The goal of the summit is discuss challenges that growth will pose to the water supply, education and transportation infrastructure.
