With less than a week left until voters go to the polls, some old truisms are popping up when people talk about voter turnout. Some say that rising apathy among voters will suppress turnout. Other experts say that negative ads will keep voters away from the polls.
One researcher says not so fast. Michael McDonald is an Assistant Professor at George Washington University and a Visiting Fellow with the Brookings Institute. He has been researching myths regarding voter turnout. He tells KCPW's Bryan Schott that it's hard to dispel myths about turnout - but he's confident he'll succeed.
