Utah Officials Confident As Election Day Looms

 

Next week will mark the first full run for Utah's new touch-screen voting machines. Many critics worry that the machines are not secure and leave themselves open to tampering.

Salt Lake County Clerk Sherrie Swensen is in charge of the upcoming election in the county. She says she's aware of the horror stories coming from other states about problems they're running into with the new electronic voting machines. But, as she tells KCPW's Bryan Schott, she's doing everything she can to make sure the vote runs smoothly next week.
