All Propositions Pass in Salt Lake County

None by KCPW

Comfortable Margins on Each Issue

(KCPW News 11/08/06) Salt Lake County voters passed by comfortable margins all of the propositions on yesterday's ballot.

So that means sales tax in the county will be raised one-quarter of one cent in order to generate nearly a billion dollars for roads and trax lines; $65 million in bonds will be issued to continue funding the Zoo, Arts and Parks Program; and $48 million will go toward open space preservation.

Plus voters statewide agreed to amend the Utah Constitution to waive taxes on personal property worth less than $3,500.
