Says Move Was A Reaction To Election Results
Senator Orrin Hatch says today's resignation by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is clearly a reaction to last night's election results. Hatch says now that Americans have turned control of the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate over to Democrats, it clearly signals they want a change in the way the Bush Administration is handling the situation in Iraq.Hatch says he's surprised that Rumsfeld lasted as long as he did, because the job is a difficult and grueling one. However, Hatch says that the replacement for Secretary Rumsfeld, former CIA director Bob Gates, is an excellent choice to head up the Pentagon.

Senator Hatch is a tool of the military and always has been. This is not a criticism so much as saying that Hatch has kept this country free from foreign dictators who would have designs upon it, but the totalitarian degree that Hatch deploys and with what internal allies should certainly be recognized.
