$4 Drugs Come to Utah Wal-Mart Stores

(KCPW News) Generic prescriptions are now just four-dollars a month at Wal-Mart and Sam's Club pharmacies across the state. Utah is the latest in a string of 38 states to see the retail giant's latest low-cost effort. The four-dollar cost applies to a 30-prescription of generic drugs on the approved list - of which there are currently 330. Any customer - with or without insurance - can qualify, according to Wal-Mart spokesperson Karianne Fallow. The secret to offering the cheap drugs, says Fallow, is the same strategy Wal-Mart uses to offer other products at low-cost: it purchases in large quantities.
