Nuke Waste Company Foots the Bill

(KCPW News) Sports fans must now erase the Delta Center from their memory. Nuclear waste disposal company Energy Solutions is forking over undisclosed millions for naming rights to the Home of the Jazz.

Crews have already covered the buildings outer signs with banners that read "Energy Solutions Arena." The deal is for 10 years.

Energy Solutions CEO Steve Creamer will not reveal the terms of the agreement, but says it does not exceed the cost of the massive advertising campaign the company continues to run.

Delta's rights for the name expired in September, after 15 years and an exclusive right to renegotiate. Miller says the beleaguered airline company was simply too distracted with bankruptcy and other concerns to renew its contract.
