Restraining Orders in Dating Relationships
None by KCPW
(KCPW News) Victims of abusive dating relationships may soon have the right to place restraining orders on their partners, if a bill proposed by Democratic Representative David Litvack becomes law. Reasons for a restraining order include sexual harassment, electronic communication harassment, assault, kidnapping, stalking, robbery, and attempted murder. However, Republican Senator D. Chris Buttars is worried about other limitations included in the bill:
"The existing language has some limitations on gun ownership that I'm concerned about. We're trying to work that out."
The bill was supposed to be presented to the Senate Health and Human Services Committee yesterday, but it was postponed until this afternoon due to Buttars' concerns.

If only UK authoritues would adopt this stance. I guess that if the states are doing it, it won't be long!!! Definately a good thing!
