Salt Lake City Council Pursiung Options With Team

(KCPW News)  The Salt Lake City council has sent a letter to Real Salt Lake and owner Dave Checketts informing them there's support among council members for a soccer stadium at the State Fairpark.

Councilwoman Jill Remington-Love says Mayor Rocky Anderson has already met with Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. and House Speaker Greg Curtis a few times in an effort to save the stadium and keep the team in Utah.

The Council has added a discussion of soccer at the Fairpark to the agenda for their work session tomorrow, just in case there's some movement in the issue tonight.

Mayor Anderson refused comment to KCPW when asked about possibly bringing a soccer stadium to the Fairpark.
