Anderson Tables Soccer Stadium Discussion

None by Eric Ray

(KCPW News) The Salt Lake City Council's discussion about building a soccer stadium for Real Salt Lake at the State Fair Park was removed from the agenda today by Mayor Rocky Anderson.

Anderson says it's best to negotiate in private without the presence of the media. He also speculates that RSL owner Dave Checketts may be on the verge of selling the team.

Anderson said losing RSL would be "tragic," adding he is committed to putting a stadium deal together for the team. He had no comment when asked if a deal was on the horizon.
