The Governor's Energy Advisor - Dr. Laura Nelson - oversaw a meeting on climate change in Salt Lake City this week. And she tells KCPW's Julie Rose that Utah officials are planning to reduce the state's impact on global warming:
Dr. Laura Nelson is the Governor's Energy Advisor and chair of the Governor's Blue Ribbon Advisory Council on Climate Change. The group plans to make recommendations to Governor Huntsman in August that should help to reduce the state's carbon emissions and impact on global warming.

The International Dark Sky Association has been advocating ways of significantly reducing electrical consumption. Cities such as Tuscon and Pheonix Arz. and San Diego, Calif save millions anually by updating their nighttime lighting. It is irresponsible of cities to continue to waste energy and tax dollars on wastefull consumption.when there are viable proven alternatives. This would save money and reduce greenhouse emmisions.
