Anderson-Hannity Debate Sold Out

None by Eric Ray

1,800 Seats Sold In Two Hours

(KCPW News) A sold out audience will be on hand at Kingsbury Hall for the debate between radio personality Sean Hannity and Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson.

Tickets went on sale this morning at 10am and were gone before noon. Sherry Jardine, Public Relations Manager for Kingsbury Hall, said just over half of the 1,800 tickets available were sold to students while the other half were purchased by the general public.

Hannity gave a speech at what was called a free appearance nearly three years ago at Utah Valley State College, but the school ended up on the hook for $40,000 of travel costs. Brian Burton, spokesperson for the Associated Students of the University of Utah, says it is written into the debate contract that Hannity will pay his own way to Salt Lake City this time around.

The Anderson-Hannity debate is scheduled for Friday, May 4th at 8:30pm.

Anderson will be informed, articulate, and will stick to the facts. Hannity will blow lots of smoke and catchy neo-con cliches. Anderson will win the debate by a huge margin, and Hannity will state on his next radio show that he beat the socks off Anderson. His listeners will believe him.
