County Councilman Wary of Zoo Funding

(KCPW News) A battle is brewing amongst members of the Salt Lake County Council over Hogle Zoo's request for 65 million dollars to help expand several animal exhibits and upgrade the zoo's animal hospital.Several members of the council want to let the public decide by putting the zoo bond on the ballot in November, but others wonder if it should even get that far.
Councilman David Wilde is among those questioning the bond request, and he shares his concerns with KCPW's Eric Ray:
The County Council has passed the request along to the County's Debt Review Committee.
