(KCPW News) The state of Utah is quickly growing more ethnically diverse every day and experts say Utah companies need to expand their diversity to keep up with the trend. It is expected that by the year 2030, as much as 20% of the state's population will be Hispanic or Latino.State Representative Ross Romero, who doubles as an attorney, says Utah companies aren't embracing that diversity to advance their businesses like companies in larger markets have.
Salt Lake City attorney Trystan Smith says Utah businesses can improve their workforce by hiring from a more diverse talent pool. He says companies will need more a more diverse workforce in order to attract diverse customers because "people of color will want to do business with people of color."
The Salt Lake Chamber is holding a seminar about how diversity can affect a company's bottom-line tomorrow morning at 8:30 in downtown Salt Lake City. For more information call 521-9000.

"people of color will want to do business with people of color." Isn't that racism! If the color of a mans skin matters when doing business then you are a racist!

People of Color prefer to do business with other people of color precisely because of and in response to the racism they've experienced doing business with white who ignore them at best.
