Voters Head to the Polls for Municipal Primaries

None by KCPW

(KCPW News) The now-familiar sound of electronic beeps and computer printouts is ringing from polling locations around the state today. Polls open at 7 a.m. for Municipal Primary Election races.

Salt Lake City voters are narrowing a field of nine mayoral candidates down to just two who will face off in November's general election. Two city council seats are also up for grabs. Bluffdale, Draper, Herriman, Holladay, Midvale, Riverton, South Salt Lake, West Jordan and West Valley are holding primary elections in Salt Lake County. Municipal races are non-partisan, and primary elections are open to all voters regardless of party affiliation.

Polls close tonight at 8 p.m.
