Why Ron Paul Resonates in Utah
None by KCPW
(KCPW News) Local Ron Paul supporters say Saturday's enthusiastic turnout for the Republican presidential candidate from Texas fits with Utah's conservative voters:"The LDS people revere the Constitution as being divinely inspired, and Ron Paul has a track record a mile long of adhering strictly to the Constitution," says Highland resident Lowell Nelson. "He is the Thomas Jefferson of our generation."
Nelson is one of dozens of "Paul-unteers" who helped spread the word of Ron Paul's Utah visit via the Internet. The result was a standing-room only crowd of more than one-thousand people. Ron Paul, an obstetrician and U.S. Congressman, has developed an extensive grassroots following online. Nelson says that's because the candidate has been largely ignored by the mainstream media:
"Early on he wasn't getting media coverage, so we volunteers felt we had to get the word out some other way," says Nelson. "And the internet is an awesome tool for doing just that."
Paul was the latest presidential candidate to stop in Utah. Republican front-runners Rudy Giuliani, John McCain and Mitt Romney have all visited the state. So too have Democrats Chris Dodd, John Edwards, Barack Obama and Bill Richardson. Senator Hillary Clinton is scheduled to visit on October 23rd.

I sometimes think of Ron Paul as America's Cato, myself. :D He's a rare man in D.C. these days--and I mean that entirely in a good way. I wish that more politicians were as honest and principled as he is. And that they shared both his degree of understanding of our nation's Constitution and his commitment to uphold its principles. If only this were so, then I believe that our nation would be much better-off. I wish him every success.

I say this with all seriousness. The country will probably disintegrate and be carved up the Chinese if Ron Paul does not win. It will take time, but we are on the road to perdition.
America needs Ron Paul more than ever, and everyone who supports Ron Paul loves him as he is the closest thing to family we have ever seen in government.
Ron Paul, for what is just, what is right, and what is our Nation's root modus, the Constitution and Freedom and Liberty for All.
