Election Could be Confusing "One"

(KCPW News) Voters along the Wasatch Front may be headed for confusion in the ballot booth. KCPW's Julie Rose explains:
Voters may be headed for confusion at the ballot. The most controversial referendum, proposition and question of the election are all labeled "one." Activist Pat Shea fears a mix up could lead some Salt Lake City residents who vote against vouchers to also cast a "no" vote on Proposition One, which will fund new public safety buildings.
Voters in Cottonwood Heights, Sandy, Alta, Draper and Midvale will have both Referendum One about vouchers on their ballot and Question One authorizing a split of the Jordan School District. Citizens for Small School Districts spokesperson Nicolle Bangerter says potential confusion has led her group to raise more than 20-thousand dollars for lawn signs and mailings - even though the majority of opposition to a district split comes from Westside residents who won't be allowed to vote on the issue.
Davis County residents may also face ballot confusion with both Referendum One and Opinion Question Number One, regarding a sales-tax increase for transportation and transit.
