Huntsman to Spend Thanksgiving in Iraq

(KCPW News) Governor Jon Huntsman may spend Thanksgiving with the troops in Iraq. Military wife Jennie Taylor hopes Huntsman will be able to meet with some of the state's hundreds of guardsmen overseas. That includes her husband Brent, who is six months into his tour with the 116th Security Force Company of the Utah National Guard:"I know that they would appreciate. It would boost morale a lot for the soldiers to know he would give up time at home with his family to come and support them," says Taylor. "And it would mean a lot to the families here at home."
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Huntsman is going to Iraq as part of a delegation led by Arizona Senator John McCain, a Republican running for president. It will be Huntsman's third visit to Iraq as commander-in-chief of the Utah National Guard. Huntsman's office would not confirm the report.
