Becker Says Best to Wait for Broadway Theater

(KCPW News) Salt Lake City Mayor Elect Ralph Becker says no decision on the location of a Broadway style theater should be made until a countywide cultural facilities master plan is completed.

Sandy City officials said last week they want to be home to the 2,500 seat theater, and Becker expects some lawmakers to try to make the decision during the upcoming session. However, Becker says for the theater to succeed it needs to be in the right location and the facilities analysis should provide some direction.
