Developer Asks Utah Supreme Court to Save Aspen

(KCPW News) The dream of building a luxury ski town in Wasatch County is so powerful, developer Dean Sellers won't let it go. Instead, he's asking the state Supreme Court to save his plan by reversing Wasatch County's denial of his incorporation petition. Seller's Attorney Steven Clyde:"They've clearly exercised authroity as a county they do not have," says Clyde. "We're simply asking the court to get us back to the status quo ante then let things unfold in the normal course of events."
Just hours before Sellers filed his incorporation papers, a group of residents filed their own request to annex into the neighboring town of Daniel. Wasatch County denied Sellers' request, since the annexation arrived first and would leave Sellers short of the requisite residents to incorporate.
Attorney Steven Clyde believes the annexation petition was flawed and that Wasatch County acted prematurely. He hopes to argue the issue in front of the Utah Supreme Court in mid-January.

That's funny! If "they've exercised authroity as a county they do not have," then why did you submit your petition to them in the first place? Can you say...DESPERATION! Ha Ha! Treat people badly & you get what you get! Time to go home now!
