Group Says Boycott Will Not Work
(KCPW News) Today's "Day Without An Immigrant" boycott and protest is not sitting well with Utah's "Minuteman Project." Opponents say the demonstration is simply designed to intimidate politicians who may be pushing for immigration reform. Many local businesses are closing today in support of their employees who want to participate in the day of action and a rally later this evening. Alex Segura, Director of the Utah Minuteman Project, says Americans should note those businesses as they probably employ illegal immigrant labor and should be the subject of a boycott the rest of the year.
Pro Latino groups plan to rally today at Liberty Park at 5 pm. Segura says his group will hold a counter protest today at 3 at the Salt Lake City and County Building in downtown, and they do not plan to send anyone to the Liberty Park rally, preferring to let their demonstration speak for itself.

We should all boycott anything having to do with Mexico. I know my wife and I are. I is absurd for criminals to make demands. The legal process has always been in place.

Mr. Segura; I just mailed Lou Dobbs this thought. I hope the ILLEGALS organize a boycott 30 days a month from now on. The Los Angeles freeways were easy to drive on today. The streets were only blocked in the neighborhood where they dominate. The lack of gas use and their automobiles was a blessing in disquise. Maybe big oil will see demand drop and they will cut the prices. Richard
