Mayor Becker Proposes Domestic Partnership Registry

(KCPW News) Domestic Partners in Salt Lake City could soon receive the same benefits at city agencies as married couples. Mayor Ralph Becker introduced an initiative Thursday to create a citywide domestic partnership registry.
Becker says the voluntary registry will make it easier for businesses to determine domestic partners' eligibility for benefits. And the designation grants domestic partners visitation rights in health care facilities located within the city limits.
Eligible couples need to be over 18 years old and living in the same home. They also need to meet three of five criteria, such as sharing a mortgage, bank account or being designated as a beneficiary on their partners' life insurance policy. The measure now heads to the city council for consideration. It is the first of Becker's 180-day action plan initiatives.

Rocky's been cloned, not an issue I care about, they should make him get a permit from planning and zoning for the domestic issue. As a small business owner what happened to his comments that he was going to overhaul planning and zoning? Then leaves the same guy in charge. Sounds like another socialist mayor to me. These guys all come out of the same mold.
