(KCPW News) Voters in Utah and 23 other states went to the polls Tuesday to vote in presidential primary elections. Here in Utah, the race between Democratic candidates Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama may be affected by the fact that the ballot still lists three well-known candidates who have dropped out: Bill Richardson, Dennis Kucinich, and John Edwards. The Lieutenant Governor's office told county election officials to leave any candidate on the ballot who had not filed an official withdrawal notice. Rudy Giuliani remained on the Republican ballot as well.
Some Democrats in Salt Lake County say they were motivated to vote by their desire for universal health care and withdrawing troops from Iraq. We talked to Republicans who said they were motivated by the policy differences between John McCain and Mitt Romney, and also ensuring the success of the war.
