The Nature of Things Lecture Series at the City Library Thursday
With increasing urbanization in the West, the agrarian landscape is disappearing and Americans are losing the direct link to their food source. Gary Nabhan is an author and partner in the Renewing America's Food Traditions initiative - a movement to reconnect Americans with the farmers and ranchers who grow and raise their food. Nabhan will speak at the City Library Thursday night as part of the Nature of Things lecture series - presented by the Utah Museum of Natural History. KCPW's Lara Jones spoke to him recently about ways to bridge the growing chasm between city dwellers and their country cousins:
Gary Nabhan is the director of the Center for Sustainable Environments at Northern Arizona University. An author and partner in the Renewing America's Food Traditions (RAFT) initiative, Nabhan will speak at the City Library Thursday night as part of the Nature of Things lecture series - presented by the Utah Museum of Natural History and broadcast live on KCPW at 7 p.m.
