Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants. That's the advice of Journalist Michael Pollan, keynote speaker for the Utah Museum of Natural History's Nature of Things Lecture Series. Pollan's most recent book is In Defense of Food: An Eater's Manifesto, the follow-up to his award-winning book The Omnivore's Dilemma: Looking for the Perfect Meal in a Fast Food World.

I was there last night at the lecture and it was great. I liked how he presented the problem of our food system and yet at the same time considered the problem of correcting it. We do need to vote with our forks.
