SLC's New Environmental Leader Has Lofty Goals

(KCPW News) During his campaign to become Salt Lake City Mayor, Ralph Becker heavily promoted his 180-day action plan. That plan includes several environmental initiatives that aim to make the city "greener."

Becker recently appointed Vicki Bennett director of the Office of Sustainability and the Environment. She is charged with helping meet the eco-promises Becker made. KCPW's Eric Ray recently spoke with Bennett about the challenges of her new position. She says the city has a head start on many environmental initiatives.
