CHIP Van Tours Utah Telling Families About New Open Enrollment
Mar 19, 2008 by Elizabeth Ziegler
(KCPW News) This summer, new legislation will remove the enrollment cap for the Children's Health Insurance Program, known as CHIP. Parents will now be able to sign up anytime for the low-cost health insurance. The CHIP program currently insures nearly 32,000 of Utah's children, whose families can't afford or aren't able to obtain regular health insurance.
The CHIP van brings information about the program to more than 100 events throughout the state each year. At a recent stop in Salt Lake City, CHIP representative Kolbi Young, set out to tell families the good news.
