UHEAA to Issue Student Loans at a Loss
Apr 18, 2008 by Jeff Robinson
(KCPW News) For the first time this year, Utah will be issuing state-backed student loans at a loss. KCPW's Jeff Robinson explains.
Because of the credit crunch, UHEAA's board of directors voted last month to cut emergency grant amounts from $720,000 dollars to $360,000. They also voted to suspend a few borrower benefits for new loans issued starting May 1st. For more information, here are some documents discussed by the Board of Regents on Friday.
