The cost of diesel fuel has shot up 25 percent since January 1. As a result, the Utah Transit Authority says it may log a budget shortfall of more than $5 million by the end of the year. UTA is proposing a fuel surcharge. Midday Metro goes to the source: UTA's Carrie Bohnsack-Ware.
