Hundreds of New Laws Hit the Books Today

(KCPW News) Today, 315 new laws go into effect, representing the bulk of what lawmakers accomplished during the 2008 Legislative session. Of these, Health Reform, Animal Torture, Jessica's Law, the new nursing home for veterans and a bevy of alcoholic beverage regulations grabbed headlines during the session. But also hitting the books today are hundreds of small changes, which could make a big impact in your life. KCPW's Elizabeth Ziegler has the story.
