Mayors Float Down Jordan
May 06, 2008 by Elizabeth Ziegler
(KCPW News) A series of meetings starts this week to bring the public into a process of envisioning the Jordan River's future. Nine mayors met on the banks of the Jordan Monday morning to show their support for Blueprint: Jordan River. A handful climbed into canoes and kayaks for a short float. KCPW's Elizabeth Ziegler picked up a paddle and joined them.
The first Blueprint: Jordan River public meeting is tonight at 6 at Sandy City Hall. Click here to fill out an online survey about the Jordan. A list of other workshops scheduled this month is available here.

Hey Elizabeth - this is a great audiopostcard! I love all the paddling noise in the back and the mayors setting the scene so well. You were brave to get in a canoe with a paddle and your recording gear - I nearly capsized the one time I tried it.
