Becker Making Strides on Environmental Promises

(KCPW News) These days, it seems most politicians fill their campaigns with promises to clean up the environment. Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker is no different. He has several environmental goals he hopes to accomplish during his first six months in office. Just over four months have passed since Becker took office. In the second of a series on Becker's 180-Day Action Plan, KCPW's Eric Ray follows the freshman mayor's progress on environmental issues:

Becker will join Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon tomorrow to celebrate Mayor's Bike to Work Day. The information is listed below:
Join the Mayors for a mellow ride under Salt Lake City Police Motorcycle Squad escort from Liberty Park to the Salt Lake County Government Center at 2100 South State Street, then on to Library Square in downtown Salt Lake City.
The event begins at 7:15 a.m. at the northeast corner of Liberty Park, 700 East 900 South.
