(KCPW News) When the rest of the nation gets Utah's quarter in 2007, they'll see a scene depicting the driving of the golden spike at Promontory Point - which connected the East and West railroads. But, does that historical moment define Utah? And is it a moment that deserves the state's single shot at currency immortality?
Paul Reeve is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Utah who focuses on the history of Utah and the American West. He tells KCPW's Bryan Schott that the selection of the golden spike is a safe choice.
