State Is In Top Five Nationwide For Job Growth

(KCPW News) New numbers show Utah's job market is still booming - showing growth of more than 4 percent over the last year.

Utah's strong job growth puts the state in the top five nationwide. In the last year, Utah has added nearly 48,000 jobs to the economy. In fact, the Western United States is seeing booming growth in the job market.
Experts say every employment sector is growing in the state.
However, analysts are keeping an eye on rising energy prices, which could put a damper on economic expansion if they spike and stay high for an extended period

Utah's unemployment numbers are improving as well, falling nearly 1 percent since last year. There were 46,000 Utahns out of work in April.
